THE BRIEF
This exciting project saw the launch of Chanel on House of Fraser, involving a careful design adaptation in order to meet two sets of strong brand guidelines. In order to successfully onboard Chanel we worked on a bespoke brand landing page (BLP), as well as adaptations of our product landing pages (PLP) and product display pages (PDP) for beauty and fragrance.
Working collaboratively with the Lead Trading Manager, Beauty Ecommerce Trading Manager and Lead Front-End Developer, we delivered a bespoke journey for our Chanel customers through a specifically adjusted filter menu on our PLP as well as a consistent Chanel brand banner throughout the user journey. As part of the onboarding process we also designed a bespoke email to launch the brand to our customers
Challenges within this project included tight deadlines, this was due to working with the Chanel UK & Global teams across country timezones when seeking feedback on wireframes and mockups.

MY ROLE
My role within this project was to work on both the UI designs for the BLP as well as building the page following wireframe approval. Working on the HTML & CSS for the page enabled me to completely customise the styling of components on the page to meet Chanel's brand requirements.
I also worked closely with the Lead Front-End Developer on providing wireframe mockups for the style updates to the PLP and PDP pages.
PAIN POINTS
As previously mentioned one of the pain points throughout this project was the tight timeline to deliver the brand to our online customers.
The team also faced a technical limitations with preparing products online without any physical stock, this affected the product filters and preparing styling within the PDP. In order to provide the brand with comfort that we could deliver what they required, we created prototypes and screen recordings to share with them.
